Art Therapy & Biographical Coaching

I work with adults from 18 years onwards—individually, as a couple, or in small workshops. My work in art-based and biographical guidance is not about diagnosis or treatment, but about encounter: with yourself, your feelings, and whatever wants to be expressed from within.

Art-based guidance opens a creative space where you can make visible through colour, form, and movement what words often cannot reach. No artistic experience is needed—it is not about the outcome, but about the process and what arises and moves you.

At the same time, I offer biographical coaching. Here, we focus on your life story, recognise patterns, and develop new perspectives. Art-based work and biographical coaching complement each other wonderfully: creative expression and conscious reflection support and deepen one another.

Introductory meeting

In a 30-minute introductory conversation (by phone or online), we get to know each other and discuss your focus or concern. I explain my approach, we explore whether my services are a good fit, and set realistic goals. You can ask questions, and we can check whether the chemistry feels right. The conversation is non-binding, confidential, and meant to help you get oriented.

Art Therapy

For this guidance to be meaningful for you, your own motivation to engage with your personal topics is essential. Openness and curiosity, a willingness to engage in the creative process, and active participation form the foundation for exploring personal experiences, discovering new perspectives, and consciously observing your own development.

Feel free to contact me for details about the online offerings.

Individual session – time to focus on you

In individual sessions, you are at the centre. I support you with your personal focus and on your individual path. You receive guidance that is oriented towards your inner process and supports what is important to you and what you wish to explore. Using a variety of art-based methods, a creative process can be stimulated. Together, we look at what emerges, what it might mean for you, and which insights or impulses you would like to take with you for your next steps.

Couples session – space for your relationship

Every relationship has its ups and downs. Art-based guidance offers couples the opportunity to strengthen their connection, enhance communication, and explore new perspectives in a creative way. This is not about psychotherapeutic treatment or diagnosis, but about expression, reflection, and shared development.

Through creating and experiencing together, couples can learn to approach challenges constructively, understand each other better, and strengthen—or rediscover—the sense of connection in their relationship.

Biographical work in the House of Life®

One-on-one coaching

Together, we explore your current topic, uncovering background and connections. Then we look ahead -at what supports you and brings movement to your topic.

Reflect on your life story and develop a vision for the future

Together, we explore the phases of your life in seven-year cycles. Through focused questions and creative painting exercises, your personal life story takes shape and is ultimately captured in the “House of Life,” offering a perspective on the path ahead. This approach highlights connections between different phases and provides guidance for planning your next steps.

Biographical work can be done individually or as a couple, following the same approach.

For the process to be meaningful, your own interest in exploring your life is key. Openness and curiosity, along with a willingness to engage actively in the creative exercises, provide the foundation for examining your experiences, discovering new perspectives, and reflecting on your personal development.

Biographical sessions can take place in person in Tampere, Finland, or online.
Weekly sessions are recommended.

Couple sessions

In this process, you take intentional time to reflect on the key phases of your lives and your relationship—on what connects you, what strengthens you, and what you hope for in the future. New perspectives may emerge: understanding why you experience things the way you do and exploring ways to grow closer together. This helps you see what supports you both and where you might take the next steps together—a way to deepen understanding, connection, and trust.

Workshops

Over the past four years, I have offered a variety of workshops. Curious? Take a look to see which dates are coming up.
